Let us take library as an information retreival system.The text objects of the library is the whole documents in the library.The representation of these documents using indexing. The indexed objects stands for the catalogue.
The information need of the user, transformed in to the form of query.In query contain the wanted information of user.Try for the comparison of catalogue and the query.Then some retrieved information obtained. If the information is not exact, then query is changed or change the information need itself. If we get the currect information, the process is stop.
